Paris is the rare destination where the flight can match the trip. Air France has spent the past few years rolling out a business cabin with sliding doors and direct aisle access on its long haul fleet, and the airline treats the New York route as its flagship: expect champagne poured before pushback, a menu designed around French chefs and a cheese course taken seriously. With Delta flying the same corridor as a joint venture partner, premium seats into Paris are plentiful, and plentiful seats are exactly what keeps unpublished fares attractive.
The competition goes beyond the big two. United flies nonstop to Paris from Newark and Washington, American connects its hubs including Philadelphia and Dallas, and then there is the outlier: La Compagnie, the small French carrier whose entire aircraft is business class, flying from Newark to Paris Orly at fares that regularly embarrass the majors. Six ways across the Atlantic in a flat bed means the pricing pressure never lets up, and that pressure works for you.

Winghoppers is extremely helpful! They always find the best flights at the best prices. Too bad I hadn't found you earlier, it would have saved me a lot of money. I can recommend it to everyone, even just to quickly check a price.

Air France and joint venture partner Delta carry the most frequencies, joined by United from Newark and Washington, American from its hubs, and La Compagnie with its all business class service from Newark to Orly.
Charles de Gaulle is the main hub with the best onward connections through Europe. Orly is smaller, closer to central Paris and often quicker to clear. If Paris is your final stop, an Orly arrival can save ground time.
Published round trip fares from the East Coast typically run $4,000 to $6,500 depending on season. The recent fares above show what clients actually paid through our unpublished inventory, with the date we last checked them.
Late January, March and November are reliably the softest months. August is quieter than most travelers expect because Paris itself empties out, which keeps premium fares reasonable.
Air France operates La Premiรจre, one of the most exclusive first class products in the world, on select routes from the US. Cabins are tiny and invitation level scarce, so start the request early and keep dates flexible.

How to fly to Paris in a flat bed for less: the carriers that compete on the route, the two airports, the seasonal price curve and why unpublished fares beat the booking sites.
Read moreShow lessPay attention to which Paris airport you land at. Charles de Gaulle is the main gateway with the fastest connections onward through Europe, while Orly sits closer to the Left Bank and clears you into the city noticeably quicker on a good day. If Paris is your only stop, an Orly arrival on La Compagnie or a transatlantic connection can save real ground time. If you are continuing to Nice, Bordeaux or beyond, Charles de Gaulle keeps everything under one roof.
Eastbound flights are overnight and short enough that sleep is the whole game: dinner served quickly after takeoff, five to six hours of rest in a flat bed, and a morning arrival with the entire first day ahead of you. Westbound is a daytime crossing where the lounge matters as much as the seat. The Air France lounges at Charles de Gaulle, particularly the flagship space in Terminal 2E, are among the best in Europe, with a spa that takes appointments.
Seasonally, Paris follows the classic European curve with two local twists. Fashion weeks in late February and late September spike premium demand sharply for a few days at a time, and the late spring window around May can price higher than expected thanks to a dense run of public holidays. The soft windows are late January, March and November, when published fares sag and negotiated inventory gets even deeper. August is famously quiet in the city itself, which makes it a sleeper month for fares.
Ground logistics are part of a premium Paris trip. From Charles de Gaulle, a flat rate taxi reaches the Right Bank in about forty five minutes outside rush hour, while the direct train is immune to traffic when timing is tight. Arrivals into Orly sit a shorter ride from the Left Bank. Many of our clients land on the morning arrival, drop bags at the hotel by late morning and have a full Paris afternoon while the jet lag still thinks it is breakfast.
